- June 26, 2025 – During a game showcase, Arc System Works officially announced an upcoming textless adventure game titled Dear me, I was… for the Nintendo Switch 2. The title marks the return of Taisuke Kanasaki as Art Director and will feature rotoscoped character animation, a stylistic callback to his days working at the Kyle Hyde Saga. Inspired by Florence, the game makes use of various puzzles designed to highlight the unique hardware features of the console.[1]
- May 9, 2025 – Nintendo filed a new trademark for "HOTEL DUSK ROOM 215" in Japan, which fueled rumors and speculation around the revival of the Kyle Hyde Saga.[2]
- September 14, 2023 – During a Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced Another Code: Recollection, a remake compilation of the two original Another Code titles developed by Arc System Works, alongside former Cing staff such as Taisuke Kanasaki and Rika Suzuki.[3]
- January 19, 2024 – Another Code: Recollection was released on the Nintendo Switch, marking the series' return after near twenty years.
- April 23, 2022 – Rika Suzuki appeared in a livestream hosted by the Game Preservation Society, where she discussed her approach to storytelling and game development.[4]
- October 22, 2022 – She was featured in the documentary Pioneering Mystery Games in Japan which was also made by the Game Preservation Society, offering in-depth insights into her work from the J.B. Harold series to her time at Cing.[5]
- July 13, 2018 – Nintendo filed a trademark for "ANOTHER CODE" in Japan.
- April 26, 2019 – The trademark was registered.[6]
- November 27, 2018 – Nintendo filed separate trademark for "LAST WINDOW" in Japan.
- October 11, 2019 – The trademark was registered.[7]
- March 2016 – Arc System Works announced Chase: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories, a visual novel adventure game with design and narration callbacks to the Kyle Hyde Saga, in part due to some of the staff who worked on the game coming from Cing, such as Taisuke Kanasaki.[8]
- May 11, 2016 – The game launched in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS.
- October 13, 2016 – The game was released internationally via the Nintendo eShop, published by Aksys Games.
- March 1, 2010 – Cing officially filed for bankruptcy, casting doubt on the future of its developers and intellectual properties. Some of its former staff would later regroup under Arc System Works.[9]
