Another Code: Recollection is an upcoming video game collection set for release on the Nintendo Switch on January 19, 2024. The collection includes full remakes of Another Code: Two Memories and its sequel, Another Code: R - A Journey into Lost Memories, making it the first time that the sequel will be released in North America. • On June 26th, 2025, Arc System Works announced a new game titled Dear me, I was… for the Nintendo Switch 2, in which Taisuke Kanasaki would return as an Art Director. The game would use rotoscoping techniques for characters like in Hotel Dusk, and would be a textless adventure game with various puzzles that would make use of the console's gimmicks.
• On May 9th, 2025, Nintendo filed a trademark for "HOTEL DUSK ROOM 215" in Japan.^[1]
• Another Code: Recollection was announced on the Nintendo Direct of September 14th, 2023, featuring remakes of both Another Code titles. The game released on the Nintendo Switch on January 19th, 2024.
• Rika Suzuki was interviewed by Game Preservation Society on their YouTube channel and a livestream with her.
• On July 13th, 2018, Nintendo filed a trademark for "ANOTHER CODE" in Japan, which became registered on April 26th, 2019.^[2]
• Chase: Cold Case Investigations - Distant Memories was released internationally in October 13th, 2016 on the Nintendo eShop thanks to Aksys Games.
• In March 2016, it was announced that former Cing staff, including director Taisuke Kanasaki, would regroup under Arc System Works to create a new game named Chase: Cold Case Investigations for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is meant to be a spiritual successor of the Kyle Hyde series and will release in May 11th, 2016 in Japan.
• It is unknown what will happen to the people who worked for Cing or their current whereabouts. Whether they'll create or join another company is yet to be seen.
• Cing filed for bankruptcy on March 1st, 2010.
