About

In Company of Heroes 3, the players take the role of Allied Forces during their invasion of North Africa and Italy. Italian Partisans are allied NPCs that can either be used on the map or be called in during battles. The story is dynamic, and the player's interactions with the game's various commanders can affect the narrative's ending.

The Churchill Tank is a Heavy infantry tank used by the Commonwealth forces through 1941 until the end of the war, where it saw combat in all theatres of war. From the initial production there were many types made, with eleven successive designs through production and many different variations thereof. The most famous variations were the Crocodile and AVRE variations where a flamethrower replaced a HMG and a mortar replaced the main gun. There were many other variations applicable to respective situations, like the ARK variation which was a mobile bridge.

The Heavy armour of the tank proved invaluable against the Axis tank and anti-tank fire. In some battles, some mk. IVs were hit up to eighty times by AT fire which was relatively ineffective against the 102 mm (4") thick front armour. Although the armour was thicker than most of it's rivals, it was not sloped, and therefore its effectiveness was reduced.
