Can a Boy and Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can't!!) (男女の友情は成立する？（いや、しないっ!!）, Danjo no Yuujou wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!)^?) is a light novel series published in January 2021, written by Parum and illustrated by Nana Nanana. In August of 2021, the series was made into a manga, written by Kamelie and illustrated by Nana Nanana. Later in April of 2025, the series premired with an anime directed by Youhei Suzuki under studio J.C.Staff.

Synopsis

Yuu Natsume likes making flower accessories above everything else. At his middle school's festival, he's challenged by his parents to sell 100 accessories to prove that it's possible to make a living from selling them. While the accessories themselves are good, his marketing isn't and he's struggling. When packing up, he bumps into Himari Inuzuka, who reveals she helped him sell a lot of his merchandise. Afterall she admires him because of his dedication to his craft and how his eyes shine while he works. This is the start of a blossoming friendship, where they, among other things, form a pact where if neither of them are married by age 30, they'll marry each other. However, now that they are in high school, and Yuu reunites with his first crush, can their friendship really hold up to what it's become?
