Descendants is a franchise that centers on the adventures of the children of several classic Disney villains, most prominently Mal, the daughter of Sleeping Beauty main antagonist Maleficent. It is mainly focused on a musical fantasy television film series which began in 2015 with the film Descendants, released on Disney Channel.

Following the release of the film Descendants, the franchise expanded with several books and doll lines, among other screen media, including the series of animated shorts Descendants: Wicked World (2015–2017), the two sequels Descendants 2 (2017) and Descendants 3 (2019), the animated television special Descendants: The Royal Wedding (2021), and the spin-off film Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024).

The most notable recurring cast in the franchise includes: Dove Cameron as Mal, Sofia Carson as Evie, Cameron Boyce as Carlos De Vil, Booboo Stewart as Jay, Mitchell Hope as Ben, and China Anne McClain as Uma.
