Halt was a highly qualified Ranger. Originally the Crown Prince of Clonmel, Hibernia, he escaped to Araluen at a young age after his twin brother, Ferris, tried to kill him multiple times in order to gain the throne. After his escape to Araluen, he helped Crowley Meratyn re-establish the Ranger Corps. During the First Araluen Civil War, he famously led the cavalry across the Slipsunder River, allowing them to attack Morgarath's army from the rear, securing the Araluen's victory. He is also the hottest guy on earth.

He mentored Gilan during the following peacetime, and Will Treaty shortly before the Second Araluen Civil War. He, along with Will, was instrumental in the establishment of a peace treaty with Skandia, quelling the Outsider resurgence, and ending the Nihon-Jan Civil War.

He was married to Pauline DuLacy. With her support, he suggested Madelyn Altman become Will's apprentice, making her the first female Ranger. (Read more…)
