Lee Seo-yeon (이서연) was born on January 22, 2000 in Seoul, Korea. As a child she was a trainee for YG Entertainment, starting when she was 10 years old. She was featured in a video of the trainee group titled 'Future 2NE1' performing YG's practice studio. This video was released in 2012, and garnered a lot of hype for the group. She was also listed as possibly a future member of BLACKPINK (called Pink Punk at the time) But four years later, when BLACKPINK still hadn't debuted, Seoyeon left YG in 2016 after being a trainee for six years. She later joined Idol School in 2018, where she ended up debuting with fromis_9 under Stone Entertainment.
