A shiny new wiki featuring the marvellous misadventures of the Funhaus crew. From Dude Soup to Demo Discs, you'll be right at home in the Funhaus.

Old Funhaus

Many of the original Funhaus members were part of Inside Gaming for Machinima, where many of the common tropes of Funhaus would be developed such as the playing of (adult) flash games, Steam Roulette (the basis for Wheelhaus), drunk gameplays, and egregious referencing of nineties pop culture, both obscure and not.

As of March 2025, the old Inside Gaming Fandom Wiki was shut down and it was absorbed into this wiki.

What was Funhaus?

Funhaus was what happened when you lock Adam Kovic, Bruce Greene, James Willems, Lawrence Sonntag, Joel Rubin, Sean Poole, and Matt Peake in a room with no ventilation, an internet connection, and all the terrible games that your heart desires. The outcome is something amazing.

It was formed by members of Inside Gaming leaving Machinima to join Rooster Teeth. They continued shows like Steam Roulette with Wheelhaus, and started new fan favorites like Demo Disk and podcasts like Dude Soup. They continued to report on gaming news on The Know, a Rooster Teeth program, and Gaming Weekly on their channel. They were also part of the Inside Gaming revival by Roster Teeth after they purchased the show from Machinima.

With time people left and others joined. Elyse Willems joined in November 2015 after working for GameTrailers. In February 2016, Sean Poole, also known as Spoole, left and shortly afterwards in April of 2016 Joel Rubin also left. On the other hand, Jacob Fullerton joined full time in May of the same year after interning the previous year, with Jon Smith also joining this year.

In 2018 Alanah Pearce and Ryan Hailey joined Funhaus. However, the following year, in 2019 Lawrence Sonntag and Bruce Greene left, followed by Adam Kovic in 2020 who left after reports of harassment and him cheating on his wife. In 2021, Alanah left to write for Santa Monica Studios. In the same year, Inside Gaming shuttered bringing in talent from there such as Charlotte Avery and Patrick Brown.

The remaining crew trucked along creating memes such as Minch and Bayou Yoda as well as series such as Star Boys and Dream Jobs until the closure of Rooster Teeth in 2024.

Future Funhaus

With the closure of Rooster Teeth in 2024, the members went their separate ways.

Bruce and Lawrence have two shows together: Inside Games, a legally distinct gaming news show, and BroughtYouThisThing, a show they do with Kassem G.

Charlotte and Patrick host What a Show!, as well as Astrogoblin with Jacob.

James and Elyse stream on James's YouTube Channel
