Lore / Game Plot

Luna is the head hunter. Jax is the chief combat officer. Manny is the tech guy. There is music in the game called eudaimonia, which is signed as ("or Manny's cure"), maybe it's his medicine. The team has its own cat, which is called ne.co.

All the characters can be found during the intro of the game in their home, and Luna can also be found in Rifts, Dojos, and Events in World maps.

mo.co's Story

We’re mo.co, a scrappy monster-hunting startup founded by a group of friends who got a little too deep into Chaos Energy. At first it was fun… until the Chaos Monsters started showing up… and kept showing up… and, well, they actually haven’t stopped. 😬😬

We’re dedicated to stopping their spread and figuring out what’s really going on, but also realized we need A LOT of help. So, join us and take a leap into the unknown! Except this unknown is full of Chaos Monsters… and smelly socks and things that might slay you instantly… but in a fun way!

Oh yeah, we’re also into designing cool outfits, fun weapons, hanging with friends, listening to good music, making the Cool Zone even cooler, and of course, eating good food (like hot dogs!).

So if you’re like us and think letting Chaos Energy corrupt the world is a dumb idea, then join our startup today! No seriously though, the monsters just keep coming and we really need some help. 🙏🙏

Game's History

BETA ANNOUNCEMENT

For the first time, the game and trailer "Gear up, we're going monster hunting" were unveiled on October 11, 2023. On the same day, the first social networks of the game appeared.  On October 24, the Discord server was opened to all users. From October 25, access to the first beta version of the game was opened. Many players liked the game and gathered a huge number of wishes and suggestions for the game. It was also possible to get a unique "Senior Hunter"* role on the Discord server, which is exclusive to players of the first beta test. On November 6, access to the game was closed and left for revision.
*at the moment, the role has been renamed to "OG Hunter"

REBRANDING

On December 6, 2024, the final KPI was released, in which the developers announced a complete rebranding of the game. All tags like @mocostartup are outdated and replaced by new ones @joinmoco. This is a big step for the developers and the final preparations for beta, which will begin in the first quarter of 2025.

The Community Manager, João Freitas, unveiled himself on March 14, 2025.

The release was announced on March 17, 2025, on all socials between 18:25 and 18:30 UTC.

RELEASE

The game released globally on March 18, 2025. Creating an account required an invite link, which were given out by content creators. Another way of obtaining an invite link was scanning a QR code with 20,000 uses, which was released at 08:27 UTC on the mo.co discord server.

WEBSITE

There is an official mo.co website where you can find some cool stuff. But the most important thing is the Employee Login. Once you are in you get to see a picture of Jax with "ERROR_404" and both have distortions. You also get asked "OVERRIDE SECURITY? [Y/N]" but when you type Y or N nothing happens.

• EmderBlade - The first player to reach level 29 in the first beta test, the maximum at that time.
• Shqdowz, aaa, MoSoliman & Shadezz - The first players to beat Sewer Showdown: Nightmare difficulty, the final raid at that time.
• Shqdowz - The first player to reach Elite Hunter status in Chapter 1.
• Scog - The first player to reach Elite Hunter Level 100 in Chapter 1.
