Years later, Yūichirō is training to join the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, willing to embrace Cursed Gear to enact vengeance upon the vampires for what they put them through. Though vampires, demons and the Seraph of the End are not the only hardships that lie ahead.

Yu and Mika have finished analysing the First's memories. Yu can manifest the seraph power he has where he feels they may be able to cast all three spells once he and Mika gain the sinful keys. Meaning to use the spell to hide the Earth from Paradise first, Yu realizes he may need more power to activate it.

Shinoa perceives that she is being observed by Yu. While Shinoa speaks she is on her way to save him, Yu cuts her off and tells Mika they will need eighty percent of the First's powers. Yu and Mika discuss asking Shinoa for help with this, yet are aware of the power she has.

Yu is set on resurrecting all humans and angels. For their links to the past Yu and Mika, it seems the case that they share aspects of both. Once everyone is resurrected, Yu tells Mika they will all spend about a thousand years building a giant tower in order to destroy Paradise. While Mika is alarmed at the very idea, he speaks of the chances they would get wiped out.

Weighing up their options, Mika considers Shinoa Squad, then Guren's group, and Saito as factions they could work with. Since the First's powers have been absorbed, Yu and Mika see they have a chance to save everyone now. Yu is also unafraid of potential death since Mika is with him.

With Yu's determination, Mika's sword manifestation now has his curse suppressed where both are stronger. Considering that Guren and Ferid are around attacking, Yu and Mika feel ready to show everyone their new power.

Saito has moved Yu and Mika to another location. Guren approaches them in the corridor. Guren asks Yu if he is the enemy, Yu questions if he dreams of resurrecting all of humanity. Answering yes, Guren requests Yu help him with that. Hearing that response, Yu tells Guren then he is his enemy then.
