Bae Joo Hyun (배주현) also known by her stage name Irene (Korean: 아이린) is a South Korean singer and actress under SM Entertainment. She is the Visual, Center, Lead Dancer, Main Rapper, and Eldest of Red Velvet and a member of their subunit Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. In 2009 she joined SM Entertainment and in 2013 was revealed as a member of SM Rookies.
