In the original proposal for a Codename: Sailor V series to follow up its one-shot story, there was a character called Mamoru Chino who was the leader of female street gang and a smoker. This character later became Makoto Kino who is unfairly characterized as such.
- Ryuzaburo Ohtomo, the voice of a minor character in the anime, was born on this day in 1952.
- Masayuki Ozaki, the actor who played Death Ru in the Sera Myu, was born on this day in 1967.
- The episode A School Storm! Transfer Students are Idols first aired in Japan on this day in 1996.
Crystal: Sailor Moon Cosmos is a sequel to Sailor Moon Eternal and acts as the 5th and final season of Sailor Moon Crystal. It was released internationally via Netflix on August 22nd. In Japan, the films have been shown in theatres and have a home release.
Manga: The Naoko Takeuchi Collection edition of the manga has started to release in English. This 4th edition features the updated translation of the Eternal Edition but in a smaller and cheaper format.
90s Anime: Viz Media has recently released complete season Blu-rays of Season 1, Sailor Moon R, and Sailor Moon S with higher quality visuals than their previous half-season releases. A similar set released January 30th for Sailor Moon SuperS
Sera Myu: The 30th Anniversary Musical Festival -Chronicle- is the latest musical featuring most of the cast from Kaguya Hime's Beloved. A Blu-ray of the performance now available.
