Trivia

  • Rio de Janeiro is Portuguese for 'River of January'.
  • Rio de Janeiro, alongside Seoul are the only legs so far to have a rhythm-based challenge.
  • Carnaval Street is a fictional place, focusing on Brazil's famous Carnaval.
  • The Samba comes from the Portuguese word 'Sambar' which means to dance in rhythm.
    • This might be why the challenge is a rhythm game.
  • Failing the soccer challenge too many times will make the targets bigger.
    • This also happens again a second time.
  • Taking the funicular, even if the cart has just left the station, is still much faster than walking. It will loop back one time.
  • In the next leg, you'll have an option to take the funicular or walk the stairs down. This is the first map to have this, with the next one being Beijing and Seoul.
    • If you take the funicular, you are still able to choose from any of the other modes of transportation.
    • If you take the stairs, you can use any transportation mode afterwards.
  • This leg contains one of two dance challenges, including Buenos Aires, Argentina
  • The Maracanã Stadium entrance in game looks nothing alike in real life.
  • The Checkpoint Challenge tends to take the inspiration from the Roadblock in São Paulo in The Amazing Race: Roblox.
