Overview
Nightmare is a slap-costing glove added on June 30, 2023. It costs 24,000. The glove's appearance is a plain black glove with Rush from DOORS with a glowing white eye.
Ability
Nightmare's passive ability is named "Night." When a player is hit, they are forced in to first-person perspective, and surrounded in dark fog. Every few seconds, a loud glitching sound and a ringing noise will echo. Harmless monsters will briefly flash on the screen, accompanied by a sudden sound. Random Zalgo text will appear in white near the player. From the victim's perspective, all other players will wear eerie black masks with glowing white eyes. Chat bubbles for everyone will show the message "Ţ̵̽͝ḫ̴̀̐i̸̝̇n̷͇̰̈́k̵̛̘̈́ ̴̧̱͘ń̵̞̭͝o̴͈̍̂t̷͖̐̚h̴̦͒́i̵̫̓n̷̗̉ͅg̷̗̉ͅ." A light bulb on the map will start to break. Once the light bulb breaks, Pim (a flat image of a distorted duck head) will appear and run towards the player (Pim can fall), and if he catches them, they will be knocked back.
On other players perspectives, they will see the affected player say "Ţ̵̽͝ḫ̴̀̐i̸̝̇n̷͇̰̈́k̵̛̘̈́ ̴̧̱͘ń̵̞̭͝o̴͈̍̂t̷͖̐̚h̴̦͒́i̵n̸̫̓ġ̷̗̉ͅ"..." and have a creepy black mask with neon white eyes, exactly how that player sees other players.
The player will experience this ability for 15 seconds.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- The ability obstructs the opponent's vision, making them vulnerable to others.
- Gloves that darken the player's vision like bob and Reaper for example can also blind the player with the ability.
- These 3 gloves are also needed for the obtainment of Rojo.
- Since the opponent is locked in first person, you can easily sneak up on them.
- The best way to use this is to slap your opponent towards the void and then slap them again as soon as they get up from being ragdolled. They are unlikely to be able to fight back due to the blindness so it's an easy way to get a kill.
- The ability can heavily disorient players screens.
- Victims will still have the effect even after you die.
- New players often don't understand what this is and will die.
- It is significantly easier to hit someone off the edge with this glove, as they are in first person until the ability ends.
- While not likely to happen, curious players will try to hit the light bulb and end up flying off the map due to Pim.
- Some players can be "scared" by the ability and reset/leave.
- While not likely to happen, the light bulb can spawn right on top of someone depending on where they are, and they may be murdered by Pim.
- If you are skilled with blind precision (aiming for something although not being able to see it or know where it was), you can intentionally slap someone into the light bulb.
- More experienced players may just instantly reset due to it severely effecting their fighting.
Cons
- Can be reversed by Reverse and el gato.
- The glove doesn't affect NPCs (ex: Replica's clones).
- Players can still use abilities equally as normal when they are hit as to when they aren't under the effects of the glove.
- The ability saves when you die, but NOT when they die.
- The passive is not infinite, so most of the time players affected by ability will survive, unless Pim spawns or they get slapped in void.
- It is still possible to survive Pim, with gloves like fish or Thanos.
- Diamond, MEGAROCK and CUSTOM can stay in their rock while being affected by Nightmare.
- Unlike in the Elude Maze, Pim will NOT instantly kill a player when they get hit by them.
- The light bulb may not always spawn on the surface where the player can break it, meaning it might spawn on the void.
- Pim is predictable and easy to dodge if the player breaks the light bulb.

Trivia
- The nightmare effect is most likely a reference to the insanity status in the game Escape The Backrooms, you can further tell by eyes flashing on your screen just like from said game.
- The entities that appear during the ability's effect are the same as in the banner.
- The tooltip contains a type of text called "Zalgo" text, which is numerous combined characters and unicode symbols used to add diacritics above or below letters to appear frightening or glitchy, similar to bob's spelling on its stand, and "Save yourself" (when bob is chasing you).
- The glove reuses assets from the Elude Maze, that being the first-person mode, the darkness, and Pim, though this time Pim can be seen at all sides and angles, like a normal nextbot.
- The glove was based off of a suggestion that was made in the official Discord.
- The figure close to the right is designed to trigger trypophobia (fear of holes).
- The Winning Smile in the glove banner might be a reference to ROBLOX games such as Infectious Smile and PM 6:06, or simply a reference due to the smile's creepy appearance.
- This glove is the second glove to force a chat bubble above you head or someone else’s head. The first glove to do this was Cheeky (before it was rebranded to MR) and the third is Admin.
- However, this is the first and only glove (as of now) to force other people to have chat bubbles.
- Being under the effects of the ability stops all music from playing, similar to being slapped by Reaper.
- This means that even if your settings mutes all music, it still plays after going through the night.
- Of the gloves that spawn entities, this and Null are the only gloves to spawn more than one entity at once.
- However, other than Pim, the entities this glove spawns are harmless.
- The monster on the face of the glove possibly could be a reference to The Intruder, as The Intruder and the monster look alike.
- The entities spawned from this glove can float in the air.
- The reason the glove's texture was changed is due to Roblox moderating the image used.
- Interestingly, all of the entities spawned by this glove are actually collide-able, though they disappear as fast as they come so you're unlikely to be able to touch them unless they get bugged and stay.
- This is the first glove to force people into first-person. The second is Run.
- This glove can also be used for the obtainment of Lamp.
- This glove is one of the few gloves that changes the player's vision. The others include bob, Reaper, Confusion, Squid and Jester.
- Players affected by this glove also will have a chat bubble that shows up to other players, formatted as zalgo text. All the Zalgo sentences that appear in the darkness or in chat messages are the following: "Think Nothing," "One can't exist without another," "Red Light, Green Light," "Balance," "Oblivion," "Screeech," "Sickness," "Cursed," and ">:)" ("Screech" is supposed to be misspelled).
- The orchestra hit that may play when the figures appear during the glove's effect originates from One Night at Flumpty's 2, specifically the sound that plays when one of the antagonists appears in the office.
- This is the only glove that can summon a client-sided entity (an entity that only exists for one player at a time).
